Emily's late strike seals thrilling win for under 10's
Emily Harris scored the game-winning goal 12 seconds from the time as the Basingstoke Under-10 Bison won a thriller 7 - 6 over visiting Cardiff Devils on Sunday night. It was Harris who opened the scoring for the hosts and then captain Travis Penny doubled the advantage by the first break. The Devils pulled a goal back early in the second session, but the young Herd hit back with three unanswered goals as Sam Hemming-Maher, Penny & Solomon Stoodley all scored.
The visitors than clawed their way back into the contest with three goals of their own to make the score 5 - 4. The home side scored again from William Birch but with a minute left Cardiff tied the game 6 - 6. It was left to Harris to make sure the Bison won by the odd goal in 13.
